Pastries and dough-based dishes
This tray-baked pastry is made by layering thin phyllo sheets with a buttery milk mixture and filling them with white cheese. Baked until crisp on top, it is a classic choice for breakfast and gatherings.
Whisk the milk, eggs, and cooking oil together in a bowl.
Dip the phyllo sheets in the soaking mixture and layer them in the bottom of the pan.
After layering half of the phyllo sheets, evenly sprinkle over the crumbled white cheese, lor cheese, and parsley. Continue layering the remaining sheets on top.
Drizzle the remaining soaking mixture over the top. Bake in an oven preheated to 190°C / 375°F until golden.
Important: Drizzle an even amount of the soaking mixture over each layer of phyllo as you assemble it; otherwise, the bottom can dry out and become tough. Allergens: Contains wheat (gluten), milk/dairy, and eggs.
