This quick dinner is made by shredding leftover boiled chicken and sautéing it with peppers, tomatoes and spices. It is a filling, carbohydrate-free meal. The warmth of cumin and Turkish red pepper flakes balances the chicken’s mild flavor.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

5 min

Sauté the onion and chopped peppers in olive oil for 5 minutes, then add the crushed garlic.

2

5 min

Add the chopped tomato and sauté for another 5 minutes, until softened.

3

8 min

Add the shredded leftover chicken, cumin, Turkish red pepper flakes, salt and black pepper. Cook, stirring, for another 8 minutes, until the chicken is thoroughly heated, then remove from the heat.

Reminder

Do not sauté the leftover chicken for too long, or it will dry out and become fibrous; briefly heating it at the end is enough.

Artan tavuğu 8 dakika kavurunca benim ocağım güçlü olduğu için biraz kurudu, 5 dakika yeterli oldu bende; kimyon dozunu da yarım tatlı kaşığına düşürdüm çünkü baskın geldi.
