A refreshing no-cook sorbet made with fresh watermelon puree, a few drops of lemon juice, and mint. This light dessert offers a cool treat on hot summer days and is a welcome addition to family meals.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Blend the watermelon

8 min

Blend the cubed watermelon, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth. Add the mint leaves too, if desired.

2

Strain

5 min

Pass the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any fibrous bits.

3

Freeze

240 min

Pour the mixture into a shallow container and place it in the freezer. For the first few hours, scrape and stir it with a fork every forty-five minutes. Once completely frozen, scrape it into servings.

Reminder

Remove all the watermelon seeds; otherwise, they will affect the sorbet’s texture. This recipe contains no milk or eggs and is suitable for a vegan diet. Store in a covered container in the freezer for up to two weeks; let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
