This whole-wheat loaf is cooked without an oven, using only the pot of a pressure cooker. Removing the gasket lets the pot work like an ordinary pan with a lid, cooking the dough evenly on both sides. It is a practical solution for camping or kitchens with a broken oven.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Knead the Dough

15 min

Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water. Knead it with the whole-wheat flour, salt, and olive oil until smooth.

2

Let the Dough Rise

60 min

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, until doubled in size.

3

Cook in the Pressure Cooker Pot

30 min

Place the dough in the greased pressure cooker pot. Remove the gasket and close the lid loosely. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes.

4

Flip and Finish Cooking

10 min

Carefully turn the bread over and cook the other side for 10 more minutes. Slice and serve.

Reminder

Remove the pressure cooker gasket so steam does not build up and leave the inside of the dough undercooked. Keep the lid loosely closed. Allergen: Contains gluten (whole-wheat flour).

Contayı çıkarmayı unuttum ve tarifte 30 dakika yazmasına rağmen ekmeğin ortası 30 dakika sonra hâlâ hamur gibiydi, düdüklüyü açtığımda içeri dolan buhar yüzünden anladım hatamı.
