This soup is made by cooking yellow lentils, zucchini, and carrots in a pressure cooker and blending until smooth. Set aside a portion suitable for the baby’s complementary foods, then serve the rest to the family as a regular soup. It can be made in a large batch and frozen for later.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the vegetables

5 min

Sauté the onion in olive oil in the pressure cooker for a few minutes. Add the zucchini and carrot and sauté lightly.

2

Cook in the pressure cooker

20 min

Add the rinsed yellow lentils and water, then close the pressure cooker. After it comes to pressure, cook over low heat.

3

Blend until smooth

5 min

Wait until the pressure has fully released before opening the cooker. Blend the soup until smooth, then season the family portion with salt and set aside an unsalted portion for the baby.

Reminder

Do not add salt to the portion set aside for the baby; season only the portion for the rest of the family. Freeze the soup in small containers to reduce the amount that must be thawed at once.
