Knead the dough
Whisk together the yogurt, cooking oil, and half of the egg. Add the baking powder and salt. Gradually add the flour and knead by hand until the dough no longer sticks.
These animal-shaped pogaca are made by shaping classic yogurt dough into simple figures such as cats and caterpillars, making breakfast more fun for kids. The dough is yeast-free, so preparation is quick.
Whisk together the yogurt, cooking oil, and half of the egg. Add the baking powder and salt. Gradually add the flour and knead by hand until the dough no longer sticks.
Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them into thin ropes. For caterpillars, cut the rope into segments and join them; for cats, add small ears to a round body. Arrange the figures on a baking sheet and let them rest for 20 minutes.
Brush the figures with the remaining egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated 200°C / 390°F oven for 20 minutes, until golden on top.
Lightly flour your hands while shaping the dough; sticky dough can distort the figures. Letting the shaped pieces rest for 20 minutes before baking helps them rise. Contains wheat (gluten), dairy, and eggs.
