A single-ingredient apple puree with no added sugar or salt for babies starting solid foods. This soft, easy-to-digest puree is a simple first food that can be offered from the sixth month of age.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the apple

5 min

Peel and core the apple, then cut it into small cubes.

2

Steam the apple

12 min

Steam the apple pieces, or cook them covered with a little water, until soft enough to mash easily with a fork. This takes about 10 minutes.

3

Mash and adjust the consistency

3 min

Mash the cooked apple with a fork or puree it in a blender. Add boiled, lukewarm water to reach the consistency appropriate for your baby’s stage, and serve lukewarm.

Reminder

Important: Do not add salt or sugar to baby food; the apple’s natural sweetness is enough. When introducing a new food, follow the 3-day rule and watch for signs of an allergic reaction. Consult your child’s pediatrician about their feeding routine. Serve the puree fresh; store it in a covered container in the refrigerator for no more than 24 hours.
