This spicy Armenian meze is made by mashing boiled artichoke hearts with walnuts, garlic, and lemon juice until smooth. Adjust the amount of hot pepper to taste.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Boil the Artichokes

15 min

Boil the artichoke hearts in water for 15 minutes, until tender, then drain.

2

Mash the Ingredients

10 min

Mash the cooked artichoke with the walnuts, garlic, lemon juice, and hot pepper until smooth.

3

Serve

5 min

Transfer the dip to a bowl and serve at room temperature or chilled.

Reminder

Drain the artichoke hearts thoroughly; excess water will thin the dip. Add the hot pepper a little at a time and adjust to taste. Contains tree nuts (walnuts).

Enginar kalplerini tarifte söylendiği gibi iyice süzdüm, ezme gerçekten pürüzsüz ve kıvamlı çıktı; 6 kişilik porsiyon sofrada hızla bitti, herkes ekmeğe sürerek yedi ve ikinci kâseyi de istedi.
