Cook the Pear
10 minSimmer the chopped pear with water in a small pot until tender, then drain.
This no-cook Mexican-style baby puree is made by mashing ripe avocado with cooked pear. The avocado’s creamy richness is balanced by the pear’s natural sweetness. Divided into small containers, it can be served at a celebration or as a baby’s last meal of the day.
Simmer the chopped pear with water in a small pot until tender, then drain.
Mash the cooked pear and ripe avocado together with a fork until smooth.
Divide the puree into single-serving containers and serve immediately.
Add the avocado just before serving. Avocado mashed in advance can darken when exposed to air.
