A fresh, creamy Mexican dip made by mashing ripe avocado with tomato, onion, lemon and cilantro. This vegan dip is ready in minutes and can also be served with chips, tacos or grilled dishes.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Mash the avocado

3 min

Scoop the flesh of the ripe avocados into a bowl. Use a fork to mash some of it, leaving some in larger pieces.

2

Add the ingredients

5 min

Add the tomato, red onion, cilantro, optional chili pepper, lemon juice and salt, then mix.

3

Serve

2 min

Serve the dip straight away. If it needs to stand, squeeze lemon over it and press plastic wrap onto the surface to help prevent browning.

Reminder

Important: Avocado browns quickly when exposed to air, so make the dip shortly before serving. If it needs to stand, squeeze plenty of lemon over it and press plastic wrap directly onto the surface. Use ripe, soft avocados; firm avocados will not mash well. Vegan and gluten-free.
