A staple of Vietnamese street cafés, cà phê sữa đá is made by slowly dripping dark-roast coffee, mixing it with sweetened condensed milk, and pouring it over ice. The traditional metal drip filter keeps the coffee rich and smooth.
Place the dark-roast ground coffee in a metal phin filter and slowly pour boiling water over it. Let it drip for 5 minutes.
Pour the brewed coffee over the sweetened condensed milk and stir until well combined.
Fill a glass with ice, pour the coffee mixture over it, and serve.
Do not rush the brewing; coffee that drips too quickly will be diluted and not strong enough. Allergen: Contains dairy.
