Prepare the Filling
10 minMix the crumbled white cheese with the parsley and egg to make the filling.
This appetizer is made by wrapping white cheese and parsley in thin pastry sheets, rolling them tightly, and frying until crisp. The delicate rolling technique makes it a challenging recipe. The rolls can be frozen before cooking, so they can be prepared ahead for lunch boxes or brunch.
Mix the crumbled white cheese with the parsley and egg to make the filling.
Cut each pastry sheet into four pieces. Put 1 spoonful of filling on each piece and roll it tightly. Seal the edge with water.
Fry the rolls in hot oil for 5 minutes, turning them until golden on all sides.
If the pastry sheets are rolled loosely, they may open during frying and the filling can spill out. Seal the edge tightly with water. Allergen: Contains wheat (gluten), dairy (white cheese), and egg.
