Cut a cross into the chestnut shells and boil them in water.
A naturally sweet, starchy puree made from boiled chestnuts. This filling winter snack is intended for babies from the twelfth month onward who are exploring new flavors.
How to make it?
While the chestnuts are still hot, peel them and remove the soft flesh.
Blend the chestnuts with some of the cooking water until smooth.
Reminder
Do not add sugar to baby food; chestnuts are naturally sweet. Chestnuts may be an uncommon allergen. When offering them for the first time, serve a small amount on its own and watch for signs of an allergic reaction. Consult your child’s doctor about their diet. Serve the puree the same day, or portion and freeze it.
