This sorbet is a way to use ripe, leftover pears. Blend them with lemon juice and cinnamon, then freeze. Made with natural ingredients and no additives, it is a light frozen dessert described as suitable for a diabetic diet.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the Pears

10 min

Peel and chop the leftover pears that are starting to soften. Drizzle them with lemon juice to keep them from browning.

2

Puree in a Blender

5 min

Blend the chopped pears with the cinnamon and water until smooth.

3

Freeze

240 min

Transfer the mixture to a covered container and freeze it for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight. During the first few hours, stir it with a fork to break up the ice crystals.

4

Scrape and Serve

5 min

Remove it from the freezer, scrape it with a fork into flakes, and serve immediately.

Reminder

After placing the mixture in the freezer, remember to stir it with a fork during the first few hours. Otherwise, it will freeze into one solid block of ice and be difficult to scrape.
