These small bites combine clotted cream, rose-flavored Turkish delight, and pistachios. Inspired by Turkey’s clotted cream tradition, they take some care to shape without the rich mixture falling apart; chilling firms them quickly.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Make the mixture

10 min

Mix the clotted cream, chopped Turkish delight, and powdered sugar in a bowl until the mixture is firm enough to knead. Because clotted cream is high in fat, it takes some skill to bring the mixture together without it falling apart.

2

Freeze until firm

15 min

Place the mixture in a shallow dish and chill in the freezer for 15 minutes, until firm enough to roll.

3

Shape and coat

5 min

Pinch off small pieces of the firm mixture and quickly roll them into balls between your palms. Coat with the ground pistachios and shredded coconut.

Reminder

If the Turkish delight is very soft, the mixture may fall apart. Chill it in the freezer for a few more minutes if needed. Store the balls in a sealed container in the freezer for several weeks. Contains dairy (clotted cream) and tree nuts (pistachios).

Karışımı yuvarlarken kaymak ellerime çok yapıştı, pudra şekerini biraz daha artırsam sorun çözülür mü yoksa ellerimi ıslak mı tutmalıyım? Fıstık kaplaması gerçekten çok güzel oldu.

Ellerinizi hafifçe ıslatmak kaymağın yapışmasını pudra şekerinden daha iyi önler, şekeri fazla artırırsanız tatlı aşırı şekerli olur. Dondurucudan yeni çıkmış karışımla çalışmak da işi kolaylaştırır.
