A classic British dish served cold, coronation rice combines boiled rice with a light yogurt-based curry dressing and boiled chicken breast. Balancing the yogurt and curry powder carefully keeps the dressing from becoming too sour or too heavily spiced. Using yogurt instead of a richer dairy product also makes it an option for those looking for a heart-friendly meal.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Boil the rice

10 min

Boil the rice in salted water for 10 minutes, keeping the grains separate. Leave to cool.

2

Make the curry dressing

8 min

Gradually mix the curry powder into the yogurt, tasting to get the balance right. Add the pieces of dried apricot.

3

Combine

5 min

Gently combine the cooled rice with the shredded chicken breast and curry dressing.

4

Chill and serve

20 min

Refrigerate the rice for 20 minutes before serving.

Reminder

Too much curry powder will make the dressing bitter and overpower the freshness of the yogurt. Add it gradually, tasting as you go. Allergens: contains milk and dairy products (yogurt).

Köri tozunu tarifte uyarıldığı gibi azar azar eklemek yerine tek seferde 1 tatlı kaşığı döktüm, sos gerçekten çok acı ve baskın oldu, yoğurdun ferahlığı tamamen kayboldu.
