Inspired by Georgian cuisine, where lentils feature often, this baby purée is made by pressure-cooking red lentils and zucchini until soft. It is sugar-free and contains no nuts, making it a safe first solid food for babies.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Cook in the pressure cooker

12 min

Put the rinsed lentils, chopped zucchini and water into the pressure cooker and close the lid. Once the cooker whistles, cook for 6 minutes, then turn off the heat.

2

Blend until smooth

5 min

After the pressure has released naturally, blend the lentils and zucchini with the olive oil until completely smooth.

3

Serve

3 min

Once the purée has cooled to a lukewarm temperature suitable for feeding the baby by spoon, serve it.

Reminder

Rinse the lentils several times before cooking. Unrinsed lentils can foam and clog the pressure cooker valve.
