This warming winter drink is made by simmering fresh ginger with pomegranate molasses and cinnamon for a long time to develop a deep aroma. It contains no added sugar, and its heart-friendly spices make it easy to take to work in a flask.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Simmer the ginger

60 min

Add the sliced ginger and cinnamon stick to the water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 60 minutes to infuse the water with flavor.

2

Finish with the pomegranate molasses

10 min

Add the pomegranate molasses during the final 10 minutes of cooking and stir.

3

Strain and serve

3 min

Remove the cinnamon stick, strain, and serve hot.

Reminder

Do not shorten the simmering time, or the ginger will not fully infuse the water. Add the pomegranate molasses during the final 10 minutes of cooking; adding it earlier may make it bitter. No major allergens are listed for this recipe.
