Baby food recipes
This pudding is inspired by creamy Greek desserts and is made by slowly cooking semolina in milk, stirring until smooth. It contains no added sweetener and is described as suitable for breakfast or an evening meal for babies 8 months and older.
Heat the milk in a saucepan until just below boiling.
Gradually sprinkle the semolina into the milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.
Cook the mixture over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until thickened. Add the butter at the end and stir until melted.
Divide the pudding among bowls and loosely cover with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming. Let cool at room temperature for 25 minutes.
Make sure the pudding is lukewarm before serving it to a baby; serving it hot poses a burn risk. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten), milk, and dairy products.
