A seasonal picnic dessert in Turkish cuisine, grilled apricots are made by charring halved fresh apricots for a few minutes, then drizzling them with honey and toasted walnuts. A light caramelized flavor from the grill brings out the apricots’ natural sweetness.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Toast the Walnuts

3 min

Toast the walnut kernels in a dry skillet for 3 minutes, until fragrant.

2

Grill the Apricots

5 min

Arrange the halved apricots cut side down over medium heat on the grill and char for 5 minutes.

3

Serve

1 min

Arrange the grilled apricots on a plate and drizzle with honey. Top with the toasted walnuts and cinnamon.

Reminder

Do not hold the apricots too close to the heat; they can burn and turn bitter quickly. Grill them over medium heat near the edge of the grill. Allergen: contains tree nuts (walnuts).
