Ice cream and chilled desserts
Halo-halo is a colorful Filipino dessert made by layering sweetened beans, fruit, jelly, and milk over crushed ice. Its name means “mix-mix,” and it is a favorite way to cool off in a hot climate.
Layer the sweetened beans, sweet potato, fruit, and jelly in serving glasses.
Pile plenty of crushed ice on top.
Drizzle the milk over the top.
Add a scoop of ice cream and serve immediately. Stir before eating.
Store the components separately in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Assemble just before serving and eat right away, before the ice melts. Allergen: Contains milk; check the ice cream label for egg and other allergens.
