Make the hummus
8 minBlend the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil until smooth.
A no-cook snack of hummus, blended from cooked chickpeas with tahini and lemon, served with colorful vegetable sticks. It is a practical way to encourage kids who dislike vegetables to enjoy dipping them.
Blend the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil until smooth.
If the hummus is too thick, add a few spoonfuls of the chickpea cooking liquid and blend again. Adjust the salt to taste.
Cut the carrot and cucumber into sticks about the thickness of a finger.
Spoon the hummus into a bowl and serve with the vegetable sticks.
Important: Set aside a few 15 ml measures of the chickpea cooking liquid after draining the chickpeas and use it to adjust the hummus consistency. Contains sesame (tahini). Store the hummus in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. A thin layer of olive oil on top helps preserve freshness.
