Jamaican-style mango jam is made by simmering ripe mangoes with sugar and lemon juice over low heat until thick. A cinnamon stick adds a warm, Caribbean-inspired spice note.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the mangoes

8 min

Cut the mangoes into small cubes.

2

Simmer

30 min

Simmer the mango cubes with the sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon stick over low heat for 30 minutes, until thick.

3

Fill the jars

5 min

Remove the cinnamon stick, fill clean jars with the hot jam and close them immediately.

Reminder

Cut the mangoes into small cubes so they cook evenly. Seal the jars while they are still hot; otherwise, a vacuum seal will not form.

Mango küplerini tarifte yazan 30 dakika yerine 40 dakika kaynattım çünkü kıvamın hâlâ akışkan olduğunu düşündüm, sonuç beklediğimden daha koyu ama gerçekten lezzetli bir reçel oldu.
