This herbal tea is made by steeping dried hibiscus flowers (karkade) in boiling water. It has a sharply tart flavor and a deep red color. Serve it hot or chill it and serve over ice.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Bring the water to a boil

5 min

Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.

2

Steep the karkade

10 min

Remove the boiling water from the heat, add the karkade flowers, cover and leave to steep for 10 minutes.

3

Strain and serve

5 min

Strain the tea and add sugar if desired. Serve hot, or chill it and serve over ice.

Reminder

Caution: Steep the karkade rather than boiling it for a long time; prolonged boiling can make its flavor too sharp.

Çocuklar sebzeli olduğunu fark etmeden yediler, bu da ayrı bir başarı. Doğum günü için denedim, davetliler çok beğendi. İkinci kez yapıyorum, ilkinden de güzel oldu.
