Nazuk, an Armenian tea bread, is made by layering yeast dough with a buttery filling and baking it. Soft and lightly sweet, it is a favorite at breakfast and tea time.

Mix the butter, flour, and powdered sugar into a creamy filling.
Roll out the dough, spread the filling over it, fold it, and roll it out again. Repeat this process 3 times.
Roll up the dough, slice it, and arrange the pieces on a baking sheet.
Brush with egg yolk and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C / 355°F for 25–30 minutes, until golden.
Slice and serve warm or cold.
Store in a covered container at room temperature for 4 days. It can be frozen for 2 months.
