These soft buns are made from yeast dough filled with a mixture of kashar and Turkish white cheese, topped with nigella seeds, and baked. They make a savory addition to the breakfast table.
Stir the yeast and sugar into the warm milk and wait for it to foam. Add the flour, cooking oil, egg, and salt, then knead into a soft dough.
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Pinch off pieces of dough and roll them into circles. Place crumbled Turkish white cheese and grated kashar in the center, then seal and roll into buns.
Brush the tops with egg yolk and sprinkle with nigella seeds. Bake in a preheated 180°C / 355°F oven until golden brown.
Important: Let the shaped buns proof one more time before baking, or they may not rise as much as desired. Allergens: contains wheat/gluten, dairy, and eggs.
