Boil the Noodles
10 minBoil the noodles in plenty of salted water according to the package directions, until al dente, then drain.
A quick, hearty pasta dish served at Turkish family tables, noodles with plenty of red pepper flakes is made by tossing boiled noodles with generous red pepper flakes sautéed in butter and bell pepper. It is served in a large tray at gatherings.
Boil the noodles in plenty of salted water according to the package directions, until al dente, then drain.
Sauté the bell pepper in half of the butter over medium heat, until softened.
Add the remaining butter and melt it. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for a few seconds, then immediately remove from the heat. Add the drained noodles and toss well.
Transfer to a large serving tray, sprinkle the grated Kashar on top, and serve hot.
As soon as you melt the butter and add the red pepper flakes, pull the pan slightly off the heat and stir; if the flakes stay in the hot butter for even a few seconds too long, they can become bitter and taste burnt. Contains gluten (noodles) and milk (butter).
