Pastirma platter is a traditional Turkish breakfast offering made with thinly sliced beef pastirma, served uncooked and garnished with walnuts and fresh herbs. It can be presented as a charcuterie-style board for a crowd.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Bring the Pastirma to Room Temperature

10 min

Remove the thinly sliced beef pastirma from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.

2

Arrange on a Platter

5 min

Fan the pastirma slices across a board or a wide plate.

3

Garnish and Serve

3 min

Top with arugula and coarsely crushed walnuts, drizzle with lemon juice and olive oil, and serve immediately.

Reminder

Take the pastirma out of the refrigerator at least 10 minutes before arranging it on the platter. Its aroma becomes more pronounced as the slices come to room temperature. Contains tree nuts (walnuts).
