Brewed black tea meets peach syrup in this refreshing summer drink, chilled over ice. It makes a cooling break for a backyard gathering or a hot afternoon.

Bring the sliced peach, sugar, and water to a boil in a small pot. Cook for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat once the peaches soften and let cool.
Stir the cooled tea and peach syrup together. Strain if desired, then chill in the refrigerator a little longer.
Fill glasses with plenty of ice and pour the peach tea over it. Garnish with a few slices of fresh peach if desired, then serve.
Important: Let the brewed tea cool to room temperature before pouring it over ice, or the ice will melt quickly and dilute the drink. Caution: You can reduce the added sugar depending on how sweet the peach syrup is.
