Pickled eggs, a lesser-known dish from Thracian cuisine, are made by resting hard-boiled eggs in a vinegar-and-garlic brine for several days. This appetizer adds a tangy touch to breakfast and can be stored in a jar for a long time.

Boil the vinegar, water, salt, sugar, black pepper, and bay leaf.
Arrange the peeled eggs and crushed garlic in a sterilized jar, then pour the boiling brine over them.
Seal the jar. After it cools at room temperature, refrigerate it for at least 3 days so the eggs can absorb the flavor.
Be careful not to crack the eggs while peeling them; cracked eggs can cloud the brine. Contains eggs.
