Diced tomatoes, onion, fresh chili, and cilantro are tossed with lemon juice to make this uncooked salsa. Serve it in a large bowl for a crowd, with breakfast eggs or as a late-night snack.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the tomatoes

15 min

Remove the tomato seeds and dice the tomatoes. Drain off the excess liquid in a colander.

2

Chop the vegetables

10 min

Finely chop the red onion and fresh chili, and chop the cilantro.

3

Mix

5 min

Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Add the lemon juice and salt and mix.

4

Chill

15 min

Chill the salsa in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Reminder

Do not skip draining the excess liquid from the tomatoes, or the salsa will become watery and make the bread soggy. After chopping the chili, do not touch your eyes without washing your hands.

Limon suyunu 2 limon yerine 3 limon sıktım, ekşiliği daha baskın oldu ve tazelik hissi arttı. 15 dakikalık dinlendirme süresini de aynen uyguladım, tatlar güzelce kaynaştı.
