Pastries and dough-based dishes
This budget-friendly, hearty family dish is made by mixing boiled, mashed potatoes with onion and seasonings, layering the filling between phyllo sheets, and baking until golden.
Mash the boiled potatoes and mix them with the finely chopped onion, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
Whisk the milk, egg, and cooking oil together in a bowl.
Dip the phyllo sheets in the soaking mixture and layer them in the bottom of the pan. Halfway through, spread the potato filling evenly over the sheets, then layer the remaining phyllo on top.
Drizzle the remaining soaking mixture over the top. Bake in an oven preheated to 190°C / 375°F until golden.
Important: Mash the potatoes until smooth so the filling spreads evenly between the phyllo layers. Allergens: Contains wheat (gluten), milk/dairy, and eggs.
