This sharp Saudi Arabian table sauce is made by finely blending fresh green peppers, cilantro and garlic with tomato. With no added sweetener, it makes a diabetes-friendly accompaniment.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the vegetables

10 min

Roughly chop the green peppers, tomato, cilantro and garlic cloves.

2

Blend

10 min

Blend the chopped vegetables with the lemon juice, cumin and salt to make a smooth sauce.

3

Rest

15 min

Chill the sauce for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Reminder

Using the green peppers with their seeds makes the sauce noticeably hotter. Try a small amount first.
