Appetizers
This spread of smoked salmon, cream cheese, fresh dill and lemon zest needs no cooking and can be mixed in a few minutes. Its elegant appearance and rich texture make it a keto starter for special meals.
Mash the room-temperature cream cheese with a fork until smooth.
Mix the finely chopped dill, lemon zest, lemon juice and black pepper into the cream cheese.
Add the finely chopped smoked salmon at the last moment and fold in gently, taking care not to spread its color through the mixture.
Leave the spread in the fridge for at least 10 minutes, then serve with crackers or vegetable sticks.
Take the spread out of the fridge at least 15 minutes before serving to bring it closer to room temperature, otherwise it will be firm and difficult to spread. Finely chop and fold in the smoked salmon at the last moment; if added too early, its color will spread throughout the mixture. Allergens: contains dairy (cream cheese) and fish (salmon).
