Knead the Dough

Roll out the dough and cut out small circles. Punch out the centers with a small cutter to separate the dough balls.
Let the dough balls rest for 20 minutes.
Fry in oil over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, until golden on all sides.
Coat the warm dough balls in powdered sugar or cocoa sugar.
Serve warm.
Store in a covered container at room temperature for 2 days; best enjoyed fresh.
