Layers of thin pastry are filled with a mixture of crumbled white cheese and egg, folded into triangles, and baked until golden to make tiropitakia, a Greek cheese pastry.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Make the Filling

5 min

Mix the crumbled white cheese with the egg and dill.

2

Shape the Triangles

10 min

Cut the pastry sheets into long strips and brush them with melted butter. Place some filling at one end and fold the pastry into a triangle.

3

Bake

15 min

Bake the triangles in an oven preheated to 190°C / 375°F for 15 minutes, until golden.

Reminder

Work quickly when cutting the pastry sheets; exposed pastry can dry out and become brittle. Contains wheat/gluten (pastry), dairy (white cheese and butter), and eggs.
