Buckwheat, a staple grain in Ukrainian cooking, is mixed with ground chicken breast and Kashar cheese, then air-fried into crisp bites. They also taste good cold in a lunchbox, and their texture is popular with children.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Cook the Buckwheat

15 min

Boil the buckwheat in salted water until tender. Drain and let cool completely.

2

Make the Mixture

10 min

Thoroughly mix the cooled buckwheat with the ground chicken, grated cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, dill, salt, and black pepper.

3

Shape and Chill the Bites

15 min

Shape the mixture into egg-size balls and refrigerate for 15 minutes; the bites may fall apart in the air fryer if they are not chilled.

4

Air-Fry

18 min

Arrange the bites with space between them in the air fryer basket. Turn once halfway through and cook until golden and cooked through.

Reminder

Do not add hot buckwheat to the mixture; let it cool until warm or cold, or the bites may fall apart in the air fryer. Allergens: contains wheat (breadcrumbs, gluten), dairy (cheese), and egg.
