These small Uzbek dumplings are made from thinly rolled dough filled with spiced ground meat and boiled much like the dough sheets for su böreği, a Turkish layered pastry. Unlike Turkish dumplings, they are sealed individually into small parcels and served in their cooking broth.

Mix the ground meat with the grated onion, cumin and black pepper.
Roll the dough thinly and cut into squares measuring 4 centimeters. Place a little filling in the center of each square and bring the corners together to seal into small parcels.
Cook the dumplings in boiling water for 12 minutes, then drain and serve drizzled with yogurt.
Cut the dough into squares no larger than 4 centimeters. Larger dumplings may open during boiling and lose their filling. Allergens: contains gluten (flour) and egg.
