Pizza and Turkish flatbreads
These pizza-style rolls are made with thin Turkish yufka pastry sheets, tomato sauce, Turkish semi-hard kashar cheese, and sucuk (Turkish spiced sausage). The key is to roll the layers tightly so they stay closed in the oven and the cheese does not spill out.
Brush the yufka sheets with a thin layer of olive oil. Spread the tomato sauce, kashar cheese, and sucuk slices evenly over them.
Starting at the longest edge, roll the yufka as tightly as possible; a loose roll may open during baking and spill the filling.
Slice the roll into 2 cm-thick pieces and arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C / 390°F for 12 minutes, until the edges are browned.
Roll the pastry tightly so the layers do not open in the oven and the cheese does not spill out. Allergen: Contains wheat (gluten) and milk and dairy products.
