Cook the onion and peppers
6 minSauté the onion in olive oil until translucent, add the hot peppers, and cook a few minutes more.
Lamb mince is quickly pan-cooked with hot green peppers and tomato in this sauté, and since it uses no starchy ingredients at all, it fits a ketogenic diet. A practical main dish that comes together with few ingredients in a short time.
Sauté the onion in olive oil until translucent, add the hot peppers, and cook a few minutes more.
Add the lamb mince to the pan and cook over low heat until it browns and releases all its liquid.
Add the chopped tomato, garlic, salt and red pepper flakes, and cook until the tomato breaks down.
Removing the seeds from the hot peppers reduces the heat, while leaving them in makes the dish sharper. Adding the tomato before the mince has fully released its liquid will leave the sauté watery.
Using beef mince instead of lamb lowers the fat content, so add an extra spoon of olive oil to keep the ketogenic balance. Leaving out the tomato entirely lowers the carbohydrate content even further.
