A favourite of Argentine everyday lunch tables, the milanesa sandwich is made by tucking a pre-fried breaded beef cutlet into bread with tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise, ready in minutes. It's the most practical way to use up leftover cutlets.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Reheat the cutlet

4 min

Reheat the leftover breaded beef cutlets in a pan or oven for about 2 minutes per side, 4 minutes in total.

2

Prepare the bread

4 min

Split the baguettes down the middle and spread mayonnaise on the cut sides.

3

Assemble

7 min

Tuck the reheated cutlet into the bread, add the tomato and lettuce, sprinkle with salt and serve.

Reminder

Don't overheat the cutlet — its crisp coating can turn soft and damp. Allergens: contains gluten (baguette), egg (mayonnaise).

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

Using a little mustard instead of mayonnaise gives a sharper flavour.

Şnitzeli tarifte belirtilen 4 dakika ısıttım ama dışı çok kurudu, artan şnitzel zaten pişmiş olduğu için bu süre fazla geldi; bir dahaki sefere 2 dakikayı geçmeyeceğim.
