Sauté the sucuk
5 minSauté the diced sucuk in a pot in its own fat until slightly crisp.
A quickly prepared, filling pilaf in which rice, browned in the fat rendered from sucuk, meets butter. A practical option for both breakfast tables and everyday lunches.
Sauté the diced sucuk in a pot in its own fat until slightly crisp.
Add the butter, and once melted, add the drained rice and sauté together for 2-3 minutes.
Add hot water and salt, and once boiling, reduce to low heat and cook with the lid closed until the water is absorbed.
Remove from the heat, let it rest for 10 minutes, sprinkle with parsley, and serve hot.
Important: If you sauté the sujuk in its own fat first and then sauté the rice in that fat, the pilaf will be tastier. Allergen: some types of sujuk may contain milk powder, check the packaging information.
Because sucuk is naturally salty, it's recommended to reduce the amount of salt you add to the pilaf.
