Waldorf salad, one of the classic salads of American cuisine, where apple, celery stalk, and walnuts meet a creamy mayonnaise dressing. With its sweet, crunchy texture, it's a beloved option both on its own and at cold buffet tables.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the apple

6 min

Cut the apples into cubes and mix with lemon juice right away.

2

Add the remaining ingredients

6 min

Finely chop the celery stalk and add it to the apple; mix in the walnuts and raisins as well.

3

Toss with the sauce and serve

3 min

Add the mayonnaise and salt and mix gently, then chill in the refrigerator before serving. Note: Since it contains mayonnaise, do not leave the salad at room temperature for long.

Reminder

Important: Toss the apple with lemon juice as soon as you cut it, otherwise it will brown quickly. Contains egg (mayonnaise) and walnuts; those with allergies should be careful.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If you replace some of the mayonnaise with yogurt, the salad becomes both lighter and less heavy in texture.
