nut-filled fruit leather · kö-me

cevizli pestil şeridi

Köme is a high-energy product made by dipping walnuts or hazelnuts into pekmez or fruit pulp and drying them. Although similar to pestil, it is more filling due to the nuts inside. It is a traditional winter snack in the Black Sea region and the Caucasus.

Where It's Used

“Thread walnuts on a string, dip them in the pekmez-based pulp, and make köme.”
