Boil the noodles

Ready-made noodles are toasted in foaming butter until browned, then served with a generous sprinkle of Turkish semi-hard cheese. Foaming the butter to just the right point without burning it takes care; adding the noodles at the right moment helps them combine with the cheese.

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until foamy but not browned. Be careful not to burn it.
Add the drained noodles to the foaming butter and toss over medium heat until the edges are lightly crisp. If needed, add a spoonful of the reserved cooking water.
Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Scatter the grated Turkish semi-hard cheese over the top and serve hot.
