Thin wonton wrappers are filled with cream cheese and crab meat, then fried until golden and crisp and served with sweet chili sauce. Born in Chinese restaurants in the United States, this appetizer is a party classic.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the filling

15 min

Mix the softened cream cheese with the flaked crab meat, green onion, garlic, and soy sauce until smooth.

2

Fill the wonton wrappers

20 min

Place a 4 ml measure of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with your fingertip, fold into a triangle, and press the corners together.

3

Fry

20 min

Heat the cooking oil until a piece of wonton wrapper sizzles as soon as it is added. Fry the wontons in batches of 3–4 until golden and crisp, then transfer them to paper towels.

4

Serve

5 min

Serve the hot wontons immediately with sweet chili sauce.

Reminder

Moisten the edges of the wonton wrappers generously with water and seal them tightly; otherwise, the filling may leak into the oil while frying. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten), milk and dairy, soy, and crab (crustacean shellfish).

Krem peynir oranı bana fazla geldi, harç yengeç tadını bastırıyor ve genel olarak tadı düz krem peynirden pek farklı hissettirmedi; bir dahaki sefere krem peyniri azaltıp yengeç etini artıracağım.

Wonton yufkalarını doldururken kenarları yeterince sulamamışım, kızartırken üç tanesi açılıp harç kaynayan yağa karıştı ve mutfakta duman yükseldi; kalanını sıkıca kapatarak devam edince sorun kalmadı, lezzeti gerçekten çok iyiydi.

Kenarları biraz fazla suyla ıslatmak yapışmayı daha güvenli hale getirir, özellikle kalabalık partilerde önceden hazırlıyorsanız köşeleri çift kez bastırmanızı ve doldurduktan sonra birkaç dakika dinlendirmenizi öneririm.
