This aromatic Italian classic pairs pasta with uncooked pesto made from fresh basil, pine nuts, and Parmesan. Its vivid green color and fresh basil flavor make it a quick, bright meal.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Make the pesto

6 min

Add the basil, pine nuts, garlic, Parmesan, and salt to a food processor. Gradually pour in the olive oil, pulsing briefly until a smooth sauce forms.

2

Cook the pasta

10 min

Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente. Reserve a ladleful of the cooking water before draining.

3

Combine

3 min

Transfer the drained pasta to a bowl off the heat and add the pesto. Loosen with some of the reserved pasta water if needed, toss, and serve immediately.

Reminder

Pesto is not cooked; add it to the pasta after removing it from the heat to preserve its bright color and aroma. Contains gluten (wheat), milk (Parmesan), and tree nuts (pine nuts). A thin layer of olive oil over the pesto helps keep it from darkening in the refrigerator.

Vegan bir versiyonu var mı, tereyağı yerine ne kullanılabilir? Kaç gün buzdolabında dayanıyor? Malzemeleri bir gece önceden hazırlayıp bekletebilir miyim?
