Put the Coffee in the Bag
5 minFill a filter bag with the coarsely ground coffee and cinnamon stick, if using, and tie it loosely. Place it in the pressure cooker with the water.
Colombian street-style tinto is a simple black coffee. In this recipe, coarsely ground coffee is steeped under pressure for a short time in a filter bag inside a pressure cooker. Served without sugar or milk, this strong brew is a low-carb drink.
Fill a filter bag with the coarsely ground coffee and cinnamon stick, if using, and tie it loosely. Place it in the pressure cooker with the water.
Bring the pot to a boil, then keep it over low heat for 8 minutes. Remove it from the heat and wait for the pressure to release naturally.
Remove the bag and squeeze it gently to strain the strong coffee. Serve in warm cups.
Tie the filter bag loosely. If tied too tightly, the water will not flow through it well enough to brew the coffee. Allergen: None listed.
