Sausages are rolled up in thin yufka with cheese and turn crisp in the air fryer with barely any oil, giving a much lighter result than traditional deep frying. Brushed with egg yolk, the surface bakes up a golden colour like pastry fresh from the oven.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Wrap the sausages

10 min

Sprinkle grated kaşar over each sheet of yufka, place a sausage on top, and roll it up tightly, folding in the ends.

2

Brush with egg yolk

5 min

Brush the wrapped sausages with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

3

Air fry

15 min

Arrange them in the air fryer basket and cook at 190°C for 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden. If you do not have an air fryer, bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for the same time.

Reminder

Seal the ends of the yufka tightly when rolling — leave a gap and the cheese melts out during air frying. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten), milk and dairy (kaşar cheese) and egg.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If you do not have an air fryer, bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for about the same time, turning once halfway through. Swap the yufka for milföy pastry for a flakier texture, though the cooking time may run 3 to 4 minutes longer.
