Knead the dough

Made by dipping whole wheat dough rings in a grape molasses wash, coating them in sesame and cooking them in the air fryer, these sesame rings are a homemade take on the classic street snack.
Dissolve the fresh yeast in the warm water, combine with the flour and salt, and knead until you have an elastic dough.
Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm spot for 10 minutes.
Divide the dough into pieces, roll each into a rope and join the ends to form a ring.
Mix the molasses with a little water, dip the rings quickly, then coat them in sesame seeds.
Heat the air fryer to 180°C, arrange the rings in the basket and cook for 10 minutes; without an air fryer, bake them in a preheated 180°C oven for about 15 minutes instead.
Do not dip the rings in the molasses wash for too long, or the dough can get soggy and lose its shape. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten) and sesame.
